In our school prep work, we follow the Lurkó educational methodology, which we apply together with our own pedagogical experience. Our aim is not to introduce school curriculum early, but to strengthen the essential skills that provide a secure foundation for a successful start to school. Alongside our everyday activities, we organise regular school readiness sessions for children in the pre-school group (Big group). During these sessions, we focus on the areas that play an important role in the first year of school. Reading and writing readiness, as well as the foundations of numeracy, are supported through age-appropriate, playful methods. At the same time, we place emphasis on developing attention, task awareness, perseverance, and concentration. |

Through a variety of activities, we support children’s cooperation skills, communication, thinking, and fine motor development. Particular attention is given to strengthening hand-eye coordination, preparing pre-writing movements, and developing logical thinking and problem-solving skills. At the same time, we continuously enrich children’s vocabulary and support clear, confident self-expression. We place great importance on following each child’s individual development. When needed, we provide timely support to help prevent developmental gaps. External specialists are also involved in our developmental work: in the pre-school group, a speech therapist carries out screenings, with special attention to early signs that may indicate a risk of learning difficulties. Our programme aims to support children in developing at their own pace, in a joyful and safe environment, so that they gain the readiness they need for the challenges of school life. |
